ABOUT OUR RABBITRY
We are located in Fletcher, NC, specializing in VM Holland Lops. These rabbits are cherished for their unique markings and striking blue eyes. Please note: VM (Vienna Marked) rabbits are bred for temperament and beauty as pets and are not eligible for ARBA showing. Holland Lops average 3–5 lbs full-grown and can live up to 10 years; please ensure you have researched the commitment required for this new family member.
1. RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS
- Process: Reservations begin at 4 weeks of age. A 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to hold your chosen bunny.
- Payment: We accept [PayPal Friends & Family/Zelle/Venmo]. Invoices must be paid within 24 hours or the bunny returns to the “available” list.
- Refund Policy: Deposits are non-refundable unless the rabbit becomes unfit for sale while in our care. In that rare event, you may choose a full refund or transfer the credit to a future kit.
2. HEALTH & GENDER GUARANTEE
- Health: We guarantee the rabbit is healthy to the best of our knowledge at the time of pickup. We are not responsible for vet costs or health issues (including stress, diarrhea, or accidents) once the rabbit leaves our premises.
- Sexing: Determining gender at a young age is difficult and human error can occur. We do our best to verify gender at multiple stages, but gender is not 100% guaranteed.
- Biosecurity: For the safety of our herd, we operate a Closed Rabbitry. For health reasons, we do not allow visitors into our barn or onto our property. We are happy to provide photos and videos of your bunny and its environment.
3. PICKUP & TRANSPORT
- Age: Bunnies will NOT leave our care before 8 weeks of age.
- Grace Period: We offer a one-week grace period from the agreed-upon pickup date. After 7 days, the deposit is forfeited and the rabbit will be relisted.
- Third-Party Transport: If you hire a transporter, all fees and risks are yours. Our responsibility ends once the bunny is handed to the transporter. Remaining balances must be paid in full prior to the transport date.
- Logistics: We meet in public, well-lit areas for safety. We will wait a maximum of 30 minutes for your arrival; after that, the sale is cancelled and funds are forfeited.
- A delivery fee will be added if the established meeting location is further than 10 miles from the rabbitry (Fletcher, NC)
4. PREPARING FOR HOME
- Supplies: You must bring a rabbit-safe carrier or box for transport.
- Transition: We provide a birth certificate, pedigree (if requested), and a sample of transition feed. We recommend no treats until 6 months of age.
- Spay/Neuter: We highly recommend spaying/neutering your pet by age 2 to reduce the risk of cancer and eliminate territorial behaviors (spraying/aggression).
5. THE “ALWAYS WELCOME” RETURN POLICY
Never set your bunny free or take it to a shelter. If you can no longer care for your rabbit, we will always take it back to ensure it finds a loving home. While no refunds are given for returns, we are committed to the lifetime safety of our animals.
